I’m taking a break from Fallout 3. I’ve reached a Broken Steel so it’s an ideal time to pick up Wolfenstein. I’ve had this loaded for a month or so now, so let’s press on.

I did originally play the opening missions a while back, but decided to start again from the start. It seems weird to be playing a more traditional FPS rather than the free world of Fallout, I kept looking in every nook and cranny for scrap and bits to trade which just aren't there ha ha. Of course, Wolfenstein isn’t without its own loot; treasure; gold, intel and tombs can be found to trade with the black market for weapons upgrade although this isn’t quite as fundamental as Fallout it still brings an extra element to the gme. Anyway, I’m going to stop comparing this with something which really in a different class and genre. I’m also going to try my hardest and put RTCW out of my mind too. This is and still is my favourite game of all time but I want play this with a clear and open mind.

The game opens in thick "Call of Duty" style combat staring at the towns Railway stations and heading in to the town of Isenstadt which remains as the hub of the game. Things are quick and easy to pick up. I’ve already completed the Dig Site and the Church missions in one session, on hard setting I'm a little confussed by this. The Veil is certainly interesting. It feels like I'm cheating making progress even quicker.
