Windows 7 is officially launched today and my pre-order retails copy hits the door as I speak. I’ve been using the release candidate on my lap top for a number of months now and have to admit, it’s so much better than Vista, then again, that wouldn’t be hard. I like the idea of grouping number of directories sharing the same type into libraries, DX 11 is certainly something to look forward too and the UAC is far less intrusive. I’m going to wait a few months until I install this copy on my main machine, just to let the dust settle.
 
In the meantime, here’s a brief history of Windows.
